True peace
Peace I bequeath to you, my own peace I give you, a peace the world cannot give, this is my gift to you (John 14, 27)
It’s a question of love
Anybody who receives my commandments and keeps them will be one who loves me (John 14, 21)
Maybe some other time
Now has the Son of Man been glorified (John 13, 31)
Love your neighbour as yourself
If you keep my commandments you will remain in my love (John 15, 10)
If the meeting were today?
I am going now to prepare a place for you (John 14, 3)
The Lord is always with us
No one can come to the Father except through me (John 13, 20)
Closely involved with Jesus
And therefore what the Father has told me is what I speak (John 12, 50)
A moral question
The sheep that belong to me listen to my voice; I know them and they follow me (John 10, 27)
The only mediator
They never follow a stranger but run away from him: they do not recognise the voice of strangers (John 10, 5)
A personal love
No one will ever steal them from me (John 10, 28)
What you like is not necessarily good
After this, many of his disciples left him and stopped going with him (John 6, 66)
Reluctance and perplexity
If you do not eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you will not have life in you. (John 6, 53)
