Maybe some other time
Now has the Son of Man been glorified (John 13, 31)
When Judas had gone Jesus said: ‘Now has the Son of Man been glorified, and in him God has been glorified. If God has been glorified in him, God will in turn glorify him in himself, and will glorify him very soon. ‘My little children, I shall not be with you much longer. I give you a new commandment: love one another; just as I have loved you, you also must love one another. By this love you have for one another, everyone will know that you are my disciples.’(John 13, 31-33a. 34-35)
Judas left the upper room where Jesus was explaining how He would love us. The traitor then returns shortly afterwards to have Him arrested and lead to His death on the cross. Christ sees His glorification in these events. Until then the cross has always been considered a dishonorable failure, but the Lord converts it into an instrument of glorification. Are you ready to accept your cross when and where divine Providence has arranged for you take it up without saying "maybe some other time"?
