The right weight
The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure buried in a field (Mt 13, 44)
Jesus said to his disciples: “The Kingdom of heaven is like a treasure buried in a field, which a person finds and hides again, and out of joy goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. Again, the Kingdom of heaven is like a merchant searching for fine pearls.When he finds a pearl of great price, he goes and sells all that he has and buys it.”(Mt 13,44-46)
If the kingdom of heaven is a hidden treasure it means that we must desire and seek it. Not everyone is able to perceive the value of this treasure, that is, the attainment of the eternal and limitless happiness to which every person aspires. Today's commitment is therefore to be increasingly dedicated to following Jesus in order to give the right weight to earthly things.
