Human and divine projects
Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it. (Luke 11: 28)
As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, “Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you.” He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.” (Luke 11: 27-28)
Human actions are called to dovetail perfectly with the divine law. To be saved, God asks us to listen to the Word of Jesus and observe it constantly with our acts of obedience. Let us ask ourselves whether, in the last few days, we have listened to the Word of God and concretely put it into practice.
